Earlier last week the RCMP along with Elections Canada raided the Conservative Party's Headquarters because they had reason to believe that the Conservative party overspent on advertising in the last federal election by over 1 million dollars.

This once again shows the irresponsibility of the government once again, not just the Conservative government, but any Canadian government.
Liberals = Sponsorship
Conservatives = This
The other, well, we have yet to find out. :p

I'm so glad you brought this up! I was going to start a thread about this, but you beat me to it. I think it's really interesting that this was kept so quiet. This is huge Canadian news, but most people haven't even heard about it.
I think the most interesting part of this whole issue is the fact that the Conservatives selectively chose the media that could report on it. All of the media outlets that were percieved as more liberal favouring were not allowed into the...conference we'll call it. Isn't that almost like government censorship? I mean, unless I'm terribly mistaken, I believe the CBC wasn't allowed to report on it, and that's a GOVERNMENT FUNDED MEDIA!!!

Yep, CBC wasn't allowed in.
It's like the US, where CNN and all those more right-wing media corps. are almost censored and get all the juice to report on, while the more left-wing ones get the little kitty stuck in the tree.
However, I still prefer watching CBC over any other news channel because they set it up so it's interesting. The documentary in the last half hour of The National is always great.
When I'm not at school, I'm sitting with my Lappy in front of the TV watching Newsworld........
Anyways...
People are ignorant and the news channels need to get their priorities straight. I don't care what Hillary said about Obama when Obama said something, or that Brittany Spears lost 10000000 pounds.

They're being held partially responsible, yet it seems no one pays attention to such things.

As we all know, all media leans left or right, and knowing that is what gives us an accurate picture of the issue. For the Conservatives to pick and choose the media they wish to invite in on this issue, is simply another example of how clever they have become in controlling the message.

I'm outraged by their leval of control, yet you have to give them credit for being able to maintain that control.
