Reading the newspaper today, I came upon this trophy idea; certain nations are inhibiting the exchange of wheat and other staples outside of their borders. It seems almost as if they wish to exacerbate the crisis, God forbid.

Oh lordy.
Yes, well, I think what they're trying to accomplish, is the ability to protect the food industry within their nation, even during a GLOBAL crisis. (Unaware, of course, that they are making the problem worse.)
I think possibly, leaders across the globe are all uniting in an attempt to reduce the population on the earth.
Well, not actually. But how else can you explain some of the decision making going on? I mean, it's not like this food shortage was a surprise...

The food shortage comes a direct result of several cases of myopia on a large scale. For one, the rising middle class; a phenomenon irreversible, yet one that could have been accommodated for. In Asia, a affectation largely ignored was that of the loss of productivity in Indian agriculture through the patenting of the "Terminator" seed. While I habitually employ Occam's Razor in my observances, it seems that little is being done.
