I recently heard (yes, I know it's been going on for a while) that Columbia might be joining us in the NAFTA agreement. ?? Columbia, why?
Columbia really shouldn't become part of the NAFTA agreement, we already have too many troubles with NAFTA and all we need is a country that easily creates conflicts because they made a boo boo.
:crazy:I sure hope the next president of the US will actually renegotiate NAFTA, there are tons of glitches in it.

Columbia, as they are not sympathetic with the FARC (as are Venezuela and Peru) and the U.S. feels the need to establish a strong ally in that region (for purposes yet unexplained. Perhaps war, or a coup.)
This is less about NAFTA than gaining power in the region.

Well, I heard rumors that if Venezuela and Ecuador continued their intrusion in Columbia, the US would side with Columbia and attack Venezuela. Which by coincidence, this attack by the US on Venezuela was predicted by a lot of people. Hmm... we may have a new war soon.

Aye, and I imagine Columbia's entry into NAFTA would be some sort of reward for starting shit with Venezuela and Ecuador.

Isn't it called the North American Free Trade agreement for a reason?
