Food price increase!

Well, the predicted price increase of food as a cause of Biofuel has just seen light.
The price of food in Canada, probably elsewhere, is going to be going up to keep up with the competing energy sector in the creation of biofuel.
This quick change in food prices might, and probably will, have some pretty bad consequences. We have already seen stagnation before, and the experts believe that's what will happen again as people and unions request wage increases.
Oh boy do we have a fun year ahead of us...

Biofuel is the epitome of idiocy. It doesn't even help the environment, and oil isn't going to run out any time in the forseeable future. Perhaps the reason for it is in fact to cause stagnation?

Peak oil will only happen if governments choose to let it. It's a myth, quite frankly. Worldwide oil reserves could still hold us off for a few hundred years.
