It is an election year. You and your team have been asked by your political party to help them elect the next President of the United States. There is no incumbent running in this election and the Vice President is not seeking the nomination of the party. This is a special year. This is the year that you can make a difference?

If you are refferring to anyone that could win, then I guess I would vote for and want Arnold to win.

I think it would be interesting if an independent candidate becomes the President. Like Ross Perot, Colin Powell and Bloomberg, someone who is/was outside of Washington politics.

I'm of the mind that none of these idiots are worthy of being President.
I'd prefer some one who was not corrupt, and had at least half a brain.
Failing that, I say we create a doomsday device capable of imploding the planet and be done with it.

I'd prefer an explosion, but they each have their advantages :p haha.

Come now, how many things have you seen explode in your day? Countless, no doubt. Imagine the sight of the earth imploding, it would bring a new definition to the word "awesome".

Nonsense, there is only one logical choice.

How about Ralph Nader? If he had a grassroots organization able to bankroll him, he'd be my choice...but alas, anyone without tens of millions of dollars to burn will never be pesident! So, I guess Obama would be my choice. The best presidents are people with a vision.

Hitler had a vision. He was one of the best then, nay?
I'd think integrity should be another requirement, and perhaps honesty to the public. Of course if you used either of those, none of the current candidates would qualify.
Perhaps we'll stick with the almighty vision. First let's define what exactly this "change" we're so seeking is. As is it could be practically anything.

Good point about Hitler...it does take more than a vision! Having said that, I still think a "tempered" vision, integrity for sure, and a new approach(the ability to question eveything and not just do it because it has always been done) are the key elements to a good president...so I still go with Obama!

Which of the candidates has questioned the annihilation of the American constitution and would make steps to restore freedoms and rights granted therein? Not a one. How many question that part of the vaunted "War on Terror"?
I sure do hope you're being sarcastic
Of course not.

Why the hell would I want to be prez of that godforsaken country? It'd be too easy.

WVmomof4, You aren't the only conservative here. I don't like McCain/Palin but I dislike them less than Obama. The frightening thing about Obama is that his supporters are so glassy eyed. It is like he has entranced them and that he can do no wrong. He has even bewitched the media. Most of them don't really know what he stands for, just that he sounds good and they are refreshed by a candidate that can actually speak without stuttering and mispronouncing words. The more amazing thing when I consider it is that, with the incredibly low ratings on Pres. Bush and the economy sliding down a fat tube, Obama isn't leading in the polls with 60 or better percent. This should be a huge landslide for a Democrat. Could be cause he is black (half). Or maybe more likely cause he does cause the thoughtful much concern with his questionable associations and liberal agenda. Should be interesting, one way or another.
