Well, I just picked up "The Shock Doctrine" by Naomi Klein this weekend, and it's quite a read. Once again, like "Zeitgeist" and a bunch of documentaries I've recently been watching, it talks about corruption.
Wow, so much of that eh?
Well, what I wanted to touch on was a documentary that I was watching on CBC Marketplace last week talking about the "Heart & Stroke Foundation" Seal of Approval of food products across the country and how corrupt that NGO and its system is.
To get the Heart & Stroke Foundation Seal of Approval a company has to pay roughly a million dollars to get it, so... the only companies that get it are companies like "McCain" and "Campbell's" which definitely aren't healthy for you. Now why do people follow these "Seals of Approval" on products? Because people are ignorant. People actually trust these, even on obviously unhealthy products on "McCain's Super Duper Massive Salty, Full of sugar" French fries.
I'm tempted to create a site, "ignoranceisstupid.org" or something. :D
