This is the thread to post what song you are currently listening to, and any / all songs currently in your playlist.

I'm listening to Echoes by Pink Floyd at the moment. Brilliant instrumental towards 12 minutes in; they're a world apart from all others.

I'm currently listening to sounds coming from the chatroom, lemme get some music up.
Now it's Limelight by Rush (Canadian band)

For me it's now a trance-like hidden track by the band Mushroomhead.

I like trance / dance stuff that has a symphonic feel.

Ya, I like some of that stuff. My favorites are Daft Punk and Justice; both French groups :D

Some of it can be a little over the top, but I enjoy listening to chillout and trance.

That said, Moby is on my playlist right now. :D

Bought myself a Moby Best Of a few months ago and it's played frequently. As for trance, i recommend to try Astral Projection. Truly wonderful.

On the complete other side of the musical perspective, i'm currently listening to Danzig's first album :)

Pink Floyd is rad so is Moby and daft punk. Right now I'm really in love with Ani Difranco i just bought one of her cd's.
I like all kinds of music. Mostly feel-good music. I like music with feelings. I also like a lot of almost unknown bands . Tom frampton is really awesome. Radio head is awesome. I love bob Marley and the Wailers. I could go on for ever with music that i like.

I don't like music by "souless singers who sing over beats built by machines." to quote Ani

I can't stand the music that Ani mentions, nor some of the people who make a big thing out of it.

Right, go with music with feeling. I don't see why anyone should listen to music that doesn't have feeling; that said, I'm listening to Untitled by Sigur Ros, it's a really sad dirge-like song. Very easy to get wrapped up in some sort of depression whilst listening to this, for sure. I don't like music that makes me think back to sadder times; I just like music that's able to turn my emotions on a dime. The power of some songs is what the point of music in general is for me. Something for every mood, whether you're up, down, jumping up the walls, or trance-like in euphoria. And besides, it's good to be a little sad / downbeat once in a while; makes you recognise when your happier times are.

Danzig are great. I liked Misfits too (on a related note) and of course one of the bigger bands they influenced, Metallica. :D

Under My Thumb by the Rolling Stones

I'll also add that I heard a station playing Black Dog from the How The West Was Won live album earlier and it's really what made my day.

Mushroomhead - Bwomp Extended

Hidden tracks that are better than the rest of the album are odd. Makes me wonder sometimes why they don't just add it to the rest of the song...

Some random techno/trance on Pandora.com. Unfortunately for you Canadians, I don't believe you can access that site. For the rest, you can customize your own radio station to music you like. It's pretty neat. Cattraknoff showed me it before they kicked Canadians off.
