Liberals and NDP are seeking to score votes by jumping on the democrat bandwagon of anti-war. Only the Democrats can actually oppose an idiotic war, whereas we in Canada have to go against one that is actually doing some good.

The trouble is our populace doesn't understand the difference between Iraq and Afghanistan (there is one). There is real progress in Afghanistan, and now is not the time to pull out. Yes the war has cost us some lives, but it is actually improving the lives of Afghanis. There's a difference between being against unjust wars and being against wars entirely. We would make ourselves look pretty bad in the eyes of the world if we pull out. Although most countries in NATO have little room to talk.

The Liberals are simply trying to make it look as bad as Iraq, in order to steal votes from the Conservatives. I highly doubt they really care aside from the fact that they can capitalize on people who dislike war for any, even justified, reasons.

I don't agree with the Conservatives on a great many issues, and I dislike their political games as much as the Liberals. In all honesty I believe we need a completely new government. Liberal, NDP, Conservative, Bloc... they're all the same. I despise their self-centred attitudes.

I agree, I am against the war in Afghanistan, but I am all for what they are doing there. They are at least attempting to help Afghan civilians and not bombarding them.
The problem with the political parties in Canada is that the liberal parties (Liberal, NDP, Bloc, Green) are so spread out, while there is only 1 conservative party. I think if a bunch of the liberal parties were to merge, this could solve many problems. Less likely to have a minority government and we would have a proper opposition.

The Liberals are as self-centred as the conservatives. I prefer minorities recently to be honest, it works to better keep the idiots in line. Until we get some leaders that actually know what they are doing, and work for the good of the country and the people, I hope none of them get the power which they don't deserve.

All politicians are out for themselves. The only way to get the vote is to lie, lie, lie, and stick to the lie. They will get in and they wont pull a single troops out of Afghanistan. Some people in the United States get confused about the difference between occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq. In my opinion we have no right to be in Iraq, but I think a little differently about Afghanistan. I feel that Afghanistan and around Pakistan, is where our focus should be.

Iraq
Invaded on claims of having WMD (WMD not never existed)
No Al-Qaeda/Taliban
No involvement in 9/11 (stated by various Government Officials)
Occupied by large American/British oil companies

Afghanistan
Invaded to halt terrorist groups
Al-Qaeda suspected to be training in area
Surposely connected to 9/11
Less American/British oil companies (if any)

“What life has taught me
I would like to share with
Those who want to learn…

Until the philosophy which hold one race
Superior and another inferior
Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned
Everywhere is war, me say war

That until there are no longer first class
And second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man’s skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes
Me say war

That until the basic human rights are equally
Guaranteed to all, without regard to race
Dis a war

That until that day
The dream of lasting peace, world citizenship
Rule of international morality
Will remain in but a fleeting illusion
To be pursued, but never attained
Now everywhere is war, war

And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
that hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique,
South Africa sub-human bondage
Have been toppled, utterly destroyed
Well, everywhere is war, me say war”
