View Full Version : Bush admits economy slowing...

Bush had been telling everyone the economy is strong and that all is good. Of course you don't want a president to proclaim that it's all falling apart. Not in an election year especially. But several advisors told him that he needs to acknowledge that the economy is slowing and it's not all bunnies and sunshine and he finally did.

It doesn't really matter anyway. The economy is based not on what some politician says, but people's wallets. It's very personal. If it's good for you, then you think the economy is great. If you can't afford to drive your car, than the economy is not so great. It's the one thing that you cannot fool the people into thinking one way or the other.

I'm sure they'll find a way to spin it to sound like terrorists printed all them extra greenbacks for a war against themselves because they hate freedom so much? Yeah, it's stupid, but only because of the amount of shit they've gotten away with by saying that kind of thing.

However, people will be swayed by what is being told to them.
I doubt Bush even grasps the concept of the economy, for that matter.

He's 6 IQ points from being legally retarded. I highly doubt he does.

Is that established?

Maybe, maybe not... I've heard it from several sources. He's an imbecile regardless, simply listen to the man speak. Daddy is the sole reason he got into office. That and the fact that he's an imbecile, thus much easier to control.

The economy maybe slowing but I believe it's an up and down cycle. What goes up must come down and vice versa. Bust is just merely stating the facts and I hope he comes out with a good economic package to help ease the pain.

I've searched it up and the most accurate estimate was between 111-130. He may simply have brain damage in certain areas of his brain (i.e. verbal recognition, logic) which make his public appearance all the more daffy. I suspect FAS.
A previous "research" established his IQ at 91, but that was a hoax. The same test put Bill Clinton at 182 (exactly twice Bush's score) simply to spite him.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. At any rate, a person with poor logical abilities is not a man I would have making decisions for me. Not to mention his lack of something far more important, wisdom. Sadly every leader in recent memory seems to lack this.

There is all this talk about a recession however we have been in a good economic state for a while now. The unemployment rate was around 4-5% for all Bush's time in office (which is excellent). The economy runs in cycles and it will rebound.

Being blindly optimistic is hardly going to help anyone. Yes there are often cycles, but the stage is set for a very bad phase.

I don't think Bush is all bad. First of all, you can't be completely useless if you graduated from both Harvard and Yale. He's a really smart man, and he knows how to play the political game. He also has charisma, and unlike some politicians, Bush did get things done. I didn't agree with all of his decisions, but he was assertive, and he more or less held the people together after the tragedy of 9/11.

We all make mistakes, and we do need to remember that he is only human. Yes, we make calendars of his less-than-eloquent speech, but I'm sure if any one of us were being video taped day in and day out, we would all say some pretty stupid things.

He isn't exceptionally charismatic; A mediocrity at best, as he is in the political theatre.

I think that's his brain on drugs....cocaine and alcohol. He says he gave it all up in his late 40's, but I doubt it.
