I have taken up chess about a week ago, and I was wondering if anyone plays (or would like to play).

I played chess a lot at one point. But no longer do, I am busy making websites (like these) and prefer other board games over chess.

Used to be on chess teams in school and such, haven't played that much since I was much younger.

Chess is my all time favorite board game. I used to play it damn near every day. I don't much anymore, and thus lost my skill at it. I should probably start playing it again, maybe it'll sharpen my brain. :)
I played chess pretty often in my youth until I became a grand strategy enthusiast. When you reach level 12 at board games you choose between either the Chess Mastery talent tree or the Everything Else talent tree. I chose the latter.
Games like Diplomacy, Risk, and A Game of Thrones dominate my board gaming these days.

If only I had anyone to play board games with any more... I miss the good old days of risk, chess, and everything else.

A ranking system for board game enthusiasts? I had no previous knowledge of that. What must one do to attain Level 12?
Anyways, if anyone wants to play chess, a good website is www.chess.com. If you would like to play me, my username on it is Locke as well.

I'll be sure to sign up and challenge you Locke.
On the note of board games i'd like to link you all to Conquer Club (http://www.conquerclub.com/index.php?ref=92431). It's based off the board game Risk and really exciting to play.

I love both Chess and Risk! I think I'm better at Risk, because there's less concentration involved.
I also really enjoy Scrabble.
Compared to Keramac (he beat me at Scrabble by almost doubling my score), I'm not that good, but I like to think I'm decent.
I can't wait to try those websites!
